"El tañedor de Laud"

This oil painting was made by Caravaggio in 1596. This painting is preserved in New York Metropolitan Museum, this come from a private colection. It was made for the Cardenal del Monte. So the laud was painted because of the client pleasure. Caravaggio was an italian painter of the baroque period. His real name was Michelangelo Medisi. His most recognisable paintings were the cronology works of Caravaggio. He painted religious paintings.

We can see a girl who is looking to the front playing the laud. In the table we can see a violin and a score that according to what some people say the paper that is under the score is a poem that the Cardenal del Monte ask for.
As we can see in the picture there is a laud and a violin so I choose two solo songs. One solo song of the laud and one from the violin. They are both barroque songs because this painted was from that period.
